Recommended Wonderkids by Position in FC 24 Career Mode

There is nothing quite like discovering a young wonderkid in world football. A young player with the potential to turn your team into contenders for major trophies can be a huge boost to your Mode experience.

There are plenty of young players in FC 24 with the potential to become world-class players, and some of them can be signed for a bargain price. Finding and developing these players can be a lot of fun, and it can take your Career Mode team to new heights.

With that said, below we have recommended some of our finest wonderkids for you to sign in Career Mode. This list is ordered by position!

1. Guillaume Restes

  • Overall: 70
  • Potential: 87
  • Age: 18
  • Nationality: France
  • Value: €3.6M
  • Real in-game Face: No
  • Position: Goalkeeper

Leading the top of the list is the up-and-coming Toulouse goalkeeper, Guillaume Restes, who has the potential to reach an overall rating of 87, which is up 17 points from his current overall rating of 70. Not only does Restes have the potential to be a world-class player, but he could also be a unique and interesting choice for your Career Mode team given his unpopularity.

Standing at 6’1” tall with reflexes, diving and positioning already in the 70s, he can easily immediately jump into your road to glory first team or serve as a hardworking backup for any mid to low table side. However, other sharks are after him, it is therefore highly recommended that you pick him up while he is still valued cheap at €3.6M. You could thereafter be the one to make Guillaume Restes a household name in Career Mode, and that’s what makes him an exciting choice.

2. Piero Martín Hincapié

  • Overall: 79
  • Potential: 86
  • Age: 18
  • Nationality: Ecuador
  • Value: €33M
  • Real in-game Face: Yes
  • Position: Center Back

Slightly more expensive, but a bit classier with a better starting overall and good potential, Hincapié also comes with a real face scan if you’re a stickler for that sort of thing. With more than 80 pace, strength and defending from the start of your save, he’s an awesome signing for any mid to elite club.

In addition to his physical and technical attributes, Piero Martín Hincapié has shown great character and leadership qualities. He’s shown great maturity for his age, and he’s already a key player for his current club in real life. He also has experience playing in high-pressure situations, and he’s shown that he can stay calm under pressure. A true wonderkid, he could anchor your back line for nearly 15 seasons if you decided to play that long.

3. Valentino Livramento

  • Overall: 74
  • Potential: 83
  • Age: 20
  • Nationality: England
  • Value: €9M
  • Real in-game Face: Yes
  • Position: Right Back

Due to injuries last season, Livramento has taken a bit of a potential nerf. However, he is still the kind of great young player who can come in and hold their own in just about any team. He is fast, with good stamina and crossing to add to the attack from wide positions.

His defending could use some work though, but that’s very common among full-backs in FC 24. He was part of Newcastle United spending-spree in the summer transfer window in real life, so you will now have to wait until January transfer window in order to pick him up.

4. Destiny Udogie

  • Overall: 77
  • Potential: 86
  • Age: 20
  • Nationality: Italy
  • Value: €22M
  • Real in-game Face: No
  • Position: Left Back

Spurs definitely have a gem on their books here. Even better, they are willing to let him go on loan on the first season in Career Mode. Udogie is a decent left-back with great attacking and defensive attributes, and he’s already shown that he can make a big impact at the highest level.

He’s a versatile player who can also play further up the field as a wing-back or wide midfielder. His speed, dribbling ability, and crossing make him a dangerous attacking threat. And his high/high work rate and tackling ability make him a solid defensive option as well. All in all, he’s a very promising young player and a great option in defence.

5. Stefan Bajčetić Maquieira

  • Overall: 72
  • Potential: 86
  • Age: 18
  • Nationality: Spain
  • Value: €5M
  • Real in-game Face: No
  • Position: Central Defensive Midfielder

For some beef at the base of midfield without breaking the bank, look no further than Stefan Bajčetić Maquieira. He’s tall and strong, which makes him good at winning headers and tackles. He’s also a good passer of the ball, which is important for a defensive midfielder.

Furthermore, he has good work rates, which means he’ll work hard both on and off the ball. Like Udogie at Spurs, Liverpool are also willing to let Maquieira go on loan in the first season.

6. Fabio Miretti

  • Overall: 75
  • Potential: 88
  • Age: 18
  • Nationality: Italy
  • Value: €13.5M
  • Real in-game Face: Yes
  • Position: Central Midfielder

Juventus have a young all-rounded midfielder in their reserves waiting to burst into the first-team. He’s got good passing, defensive prowess and dribbling ability, and he’s good at finding space and creating chances for his teammates.

He’s also got a good eye for goal, which means he could be an important player for your team. In addition, he has the versatility to play in a number of positions, including central midfield, attacking midfield, and even on the wing.

7. Bilal El Khannouss

  • Overall: 71
  • Potential: 86
  • Age: 19
  • Nationality: Morocco
  • Value: €4.4M
  • Real in-game Face: No
  • Position: Central Attacking Midfielder

The Belgian Pro League has long been one of the best places to look for all-round attacking midfield monsters, and Khannouss is just that. Thanks to a buff in agility, ball control and dribbling, Bilal El Khannouss now looks like a nippy, exciting young CAM who could slot into the squads of a host of decent teams.

With his massive potential, he’ll quickly turn into an almost unstoppable force in the middle of the park, so looks to be an almost must-buy for any team that can afford him.

8. Lázaro

  • Overall: 75
  • Potential: 84
  • Age: 21
  • Nationality: Brazil
  • Value: €12.5M
  • Real in-game Face: Yes
  • Position: Left Midfielder

Listed as a wide-man primarily, but with RM and ST in his listed positions, Lázaro can basically play anywhere upfront. Quick, technical players with good dribbling are great for progressing the ball in FC 24, so he looks like a good candidate to turn into a solid shuttler.

Not to forget to mention that he has also been given a 2D image and face scan to go with that 84 potential compared to FIFA 23.

9. Carlos Forbs

  • Overall: 70
  • Potential: 86
  • Age: 19
  • Nationality: Portugal
  • Value: €4.1M
  • Real in-game Face: No
  • Position: Right Winger

Ajax have done it again with yet another talented prospect from their academy. Forbs has great speed and agility, as well as 87 balance to make an impact anywhere across a front three. However, his abysmal 2-star weakness needs some serious attention.

You will therefore need to pick the shortest training program for him at every opportunity to train it up quickly in order to improve his chances of netting more goals from the flanks.

10. Elye Wahi

  • Overall: 78
  • Potential: 88
  • Age: 20
  • Nationality: France
  • Value: €31M
  • Real in-game Face: No
  • Position: Striker

Some people prefer realistic signings, and France is always a great place to look for excellent, physically and technically gifted players who are ready for a step-up. Elye Wahi fits that mould with 90 pace, 86 volleys, 80 jumping and finishing.

With these great qualities across the board, it shouldn’t take Wahi long until he competes with the likes of Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland for the Ballon’dOr in your Career Mode save. But you know what they say, quality doesn’t come cheap!

FC 24 features more than 19,000 licensed players, 700 teams, 100 stadiums, and 30 leagues and is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
