Another deep dive has been released by EA, covering all the new matchday features that we will see in EA SPORTS FC 24.
EA’s new franchise game is almost here, and today we will have a closer look at what the matchday experience will feel and look like in FC 24.
Following the Career Mode deep dive, these new features will enhance the Manager and Player Career experience even more. So shall we dive into the details?
Improved Frostbite Engine
Thanks to the ever evolving Frostbite Engine, EA devs managed to add even more details to the virtual pitch and around it. Some of the main improvements include:
- Cloth GPU – Revamped cloth system with new fabric models that deform and wrinkle while maintaining the athletic form.
- Feature Lighting – The in-game lighting will feel more cinematic with enhanced frame depth and higher contrast.

Insight Overlays
With the introduction of HyperMotionV in FC 24 and the help of Augmented Reality technology, EA devs managed to add even more complex overlays on the pitch. The brand new Insight Overlays will give gamers specific stats about teams or players live on the pitch or while replaying certain moments of the game. Some examples include:
- Team Stamina
- Team Possession
- Shots on Target
- Passes Completed
- Win Probability
- GK Reaction Time

Dynamic Matchday Intros & Menus
EA will elevate the matchday experience with even more cinematic sequences that will take realism to a whole new level. As a matter of fact, you will be able to see these new cutscenes before a match, during half-time and at the end of a match. Some of the new cinematics include:
Pre-Game
- Locker Room Visuals
- Fans arriving at Stadium
- Stadium Tunnels Entrance
- Managers/Players greeting and shaking hands on field
Half-Time
- Players entering locker room
- Locker Room Talks
- Subs on Pitch
- Commentary Team discussing
Full-Time
- Post-Game Interviews
- Crowd Reactions
One of the main cutscenes to highlight is the one of pundits, where we will see the actual commentators come to life in various scenes and give their impressions on the game. Moreover, a new pundit team has joined the game with commentary duo Guy Mowbray & Sue Smith to feature as an option in FC 24.
Another important feature to highlight is the so-called Beyond Broadcast Audio. This feature enhances the audio of the crowd when the camera zooms on them, making every single sound that the fans produce clearer than ever before.
New Gameplay & Ref Camera
A brand-new gameplay camera will be available in FC 24 inspired by one of the most popular cameras in the community, the Tele Broadcast view. In addition to that, for the first time ever, there will be a point-of-view referee camera that will further enhance the immersive feeling in EA SPORTS FC 24.

New Celebrations
The game will feature a collection of new celebrations, such as Ronaldo’s Nap or Rashford’s Signature. But the most important addition to celebrations this year is the introduction of Key Moments Celebrations.
For example, if a GK or a defender make a crucial block, other teammates will celebrate with them during the match, adding a further layer of realism to EA SPORTS FC 24.
EA SPORTS FC 24 is set for release on September 29th and will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. EA Play members and Ultimate Edition owners will be able to play the Early Access on September 29th.
