FC Pro Open 25 concluded its group stage on Monday (27/1). Twenty four of the best FC players in the world have finished their first step in the tournament, which has a total prize of $532,000.
The group stage will determine the 12 athletes who will advance to the knockout stage, while the other 12 athletes must pack their bags as they’re eliminated from the tournament. This article will cover the complete result of the FC Pro Open 25 group stage!
Group A

The competition to top group A between Stingray and Jafonso concluded in the final match of the group. As one of the favorites in the tournament, Jafonso must get the victory over his rivals if he wanted to be the champion of the group.
Instead, The Portugese had to suffer a humbled defeat as Stingray beat him 7-1 to seal the title as the winner of group A. This victory means Stingray advances to the quarter finals, while Jafonso and Cowen qualify to the first round of the playoffs stage. Group A also saw xcharifx, NiKSNEB, and Mark11 eliminated from the tournament.

Group B was the most competitive group in the tournament. The Danish wonderkid, Anders Vejrgang comfortably secured his place in the quarter final even before round 10 was played. Therefore his 1-2 loss against ManuBachoore in his last game didn’t make him lost the top spot.
The real competition was for the second and third place of the group, which saw three players looking for the last two spots to the playoffs round. The Argentinian nicolas99fc became the second player to qualify from group B after his 2-1 win over AboFawzi, while LJR_Peixoto jumped to the third place and qualify to the playoffs after beating 1OS in the last game of the group.

Group C gave us shocking results as two favorites athletes must say goodbye to the tournament. Manchester City’s Tekkz finished the group at the bottom, while RBLZ’s Umut only managed to grab the fifth spot.
Francesco “Obrun2002” Tagliafierro won group C and qualifid to the quarter finals after beating his closest rival, Emre Yilmaz in his last game. Yuval secured the last spot to qualify to the playoffs with his win over Umut, ending GuiBarros’ hope to steal the third position of the goup.

Another shocking result also came from group D, as the reigning champion PHzin didn’t qualify to the playoffs stage. Two consecutives losses against KTzn_91 and Levi de Weerd put him in a difficult situation, which ended up costing him a spot in the playoffs.
Both Abu Makkah and Levi de Weerd got 18 points, but the Dutch secured the top spot after having a better goal differences over his rival. The last playoffs ticket from group C was secured by KTzn_91, after his draw against Paulo Neto was enough for him to qualify over PHzin who ended up in the fourth place of the standings.
Playoffs stage: Drawings and schedule
The playoffs stage of FC Pro Open 25 will beld on February 1st and 2nd 2025 in London, England. As the winner of respective group, Stingray, Vejrgang, Obrun2002, and Levi de Weerd automatically qualify to the quarterfinals. Meanwhile the rest of the remaining players must battle it out in Round 1 of the playoffs stage.
