eFootball v.4.3.0 Update Brings Lamine Yamal as Brand Ambassador, New Faces, and Liga MX Removal

Konami has rolled out eFootball v.4.3.0, introducing fresh content, updated licenses, and some notable removals. The update is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and mobile devices, bringing both visual and gameplay adjustments.

Lamine Yamal Joins as eFootball Brand Ambassador

One of the biggest highlights of this update is FC Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal becoming an official eFootball brand ambassador. This move strengthens Konami’s ties with the club and adds a new face to their promotional campaigns alongside Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi.

Feature Updates & My League Reset

For My League players, progress and My League Points will be reset in certain leagues following this update. This may be frustrating for some, but it ensures a refreshed competitive balance moving forward.

Konami Loses Liga MX License

One of the more controversial changes is the removal of Liga MX’s official license. As a result, the league’s name, club emblems, kits, and even player and manager names have been replaced with generic designs.

On the bright side, Bayer 04 Leverkusen has joined eFootball and will feature with authentic crest, kits and data from now on. From the announcement this is not an exclusive partnership so we can expect to continue to see the Bundesliga champions in the EA FC series as well.

Gewiss Stadium Update, Azteca Stadium Out

Gewiss Stadium has been updated, but Estadio Azteca has been removed following the loss of the Liga MX license. This will be a disappointment for Mexican football fans who enjoyed playing in the historic venue.

233 New Face Updates & 38 Epic Cards Added

A big addition in this update is 233 new player faces, improving authenticity across various leagues. Additionally, 38 new Epic cards have arrived, including football legends such as David Beckham, Francesco Totti, Roberto Carlos, and Cafu.

Updated Leagues & Season Data Refresh

Team structures for several leagues have been updated with the latest season data, ensuring more accurate squads and lineups. The affected leagues include:

  • Argentine League
  • Chilean League
  • Colombian League
  • American League
  • Korean League
  • MEIJI YASUDA J1 & J2 LEAGUES

Indonesian National Team Players Added

The Live Update from February 20, 2025, introduced new data for Indonesian national team players. Additionally, Cuiabá EC’s squad in the Brazilian League has been replaced with generic players.

Unavailable Players & Managers Coming in June 2025

Konami has outlined upcoming changes regarding Unavailable Players and Managers, set to be implemented in June 2025 or later. Due to licensing shifts, some players and managers will be removed from the game and can no longer be used in matches.

A list of affected players can be checked in-game under: [Extras] > [Support] > [Unavailable List]

Bug Fixes & Miscellaneous Changes

Only a handful of bug fixes have been mentioned, including a correction for player arms not displaying properly under certain conditions. Other minor graphical and gameplay improvements have been applied across various areas.
