In the first week of its release, EA SPORTS FC 24 has attracted more than 11.3 million players, showcasing a robust engagement in the football gaming community and proving that the ‘FIFA’ name was just that, a name.
For comparison, FIFA 23 had 10.3 million players during its first week. That’s 1 million more players than the previous edition, even with the physical sales down 30% in the UK.
FC 24 witnessed over 2.2 million downloads on its mobile version on the launch day itself, setting a new record in the EA SPORTS Mobile Football franchise. The first ten days post-launch saw an impressive total of more than 11.2 million new users downloading the mobile game, further solidifying the game’s position in the market.

Cam Weber, the President of EA SPORTS, expressed excitement over the massive fan engagement. “We’re thrilled to have so many fans jumping into The World’s Game in both EA SPORTS FC 24 and FC Mobile in just the first few days since launch,” Weber stated. He also noted a nearly 20% increase in new players on FC 24 year over year, highlighting the global excitement among football fans to be a part of this new venture.
EA is aiming to build “the world’s biggest football community through EA SPORTS FC,” according to Weber, and this seems to be just the beginning. The company is also offering an exclusive opportunity for fans to become FC Founders by playing EA SPORTS FC 24 before November 1, 2023. This one-time offer includes unlocking exclusive benefits such as in-game vanity, objectives, and tasks in Ultimate Team, along with a Founder Evolution experience, allowing fans to join the club with a unique style.
Moreover, users who log in to play EA SPORTS FC Mobile before November 30, 2023, will have the chance to obtain a coveted ambassador player item from the Founders Pack.
