EA Sports introduced an exciting new way to play Career Mode in EA Sports FC 25. The live start point feature allows players to begin their Career Mode journey at specific points based on real-world events throughout the 2024/25 season.
This feature is available for ten different leagues in the game: the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, EFL Championship, WSL, Liga F, Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga, and Arkema Première Division. Additionally, most domestic and continental cups are also updated to reflect the real-world progress.
The real-world scenario applies not only to match results, cup progression, and league tables but also to injuries and suspensions, providing a more immersive experience when playing Career Mode. This allows you to start a new save at various points throughout the season and continue the club’s journey—this time with you in control.
There are plenty of storylines you can explore with this feature, whether it’s leading a dominant team to a league title or helping a struggling team fight for a better finish. In this article, we’ll highlight a few of them for you to explore!
Manchester United
The arrival of Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP as the new Manchester United manager sparked excitement not only among the fans but also in the footballing world in general. The Red Devils is currently 13th in the Premier League, and Amorim faces a tough job in turning Manchester United’s season around and leading the team back to the glory they deserve.
There are plenty of storylines you can create in EA Sports FC 25 Career Mode using Manchester United. If you’d like to step into Ruben Amorim’s shoes, you can either continue his work or start Career Mode at the end of November 2024, when he took charge of Manchester United against Ipswich Town.

At the start of the 2000s, Valencia was one of the biggest clubs in Spain. However, they experienced a massive decline in the early 2010s, and this season they are facing a relegation battle in LaLiga.
The latest live start point places Valencia CF near the bottom of the standings. They are currently sitting in 19th place, and your task is to save their season by getting them out of the relegation zone and rebuilding the team into title contenders, just like they once were.
Real Madrid Femenino
Other than live start points, the inclusion of women football is one of the biggest addition to EA Sports FC 25 career mode. Real Madrid Femenino is one of the most interesting teams to manage if you want to experience what it’s like to lead a women’s team.
The women’s team of Real Madrid is not as strong as their male counterparts. Founded in 2020, they have a long way to go if they want to rival FC Barcelona Femení, which is considered one of the best women’s teams in the world.

Manchester City
This season is probably the best moment if you want to start a Career Mode with Manchester City. The Manchester-based team unexpectedly suffered a horrendous run of form, which has put them out of the title race.
Injury problems are also a major challenge you’ll need to overcome, whether you’re managing as Pep Guardiola or your own custom manager. Their star player, Rodri, suffered a season-ending injury, and you’ll need to sign his replacement during the January transfer window to strengthen the squad and get the team back on track to challenge for the Premier League title.
