EA Sports FC 25 is one of the most authentic football games in the world. The game features more than 30 leagues and 300 teams, including various prestigious continental competitions, from the UEFA Champions League to the CONMEBOL Libertadores.
However, in the past couple of years, no major leagues have been added to the game. The franchise has even lost some leagues that featured some of the most memorable players.
These are some of the leagues that once appeared in the FIFA franchise and that EA Sports should bring back for the upcoming EA Sports FC 26!
Liga MX

The Mexican top-flight league was part of the FIFA franchise for many years. However, Liga MX was removed from the game starting with FIFA 23 due to an exclusive agreement with KONAMI.
Reports suggest that the agreement between Liga MX and KONAMI has ended, making this the perfect time for EA Sports to bring the league back. Especially with big-name players currently in the league, such as André-Pierre Gignac, James Rodríguez, Jesús Corona, and Sergio Canales. The addition of Liga MX to EA Sports FC 26 would be a much needed improvement for Football Ultimate Team and Career Mode players.
Campeonato Brasileiro Série A
The Brazilian league hasn’t been in the franchise for years due to licensing issues. Unlike other leagues, EA Sports must secure individual licenses for both teams and players. Because of this, previous editions of the game featured generic teams and players instead of fully licensed ones.
Bringing the league back in EA Sports FC 26 wouldn’t be easy, but if EA Sports manages to do it, it would be a huge win for us. Clubs like Santos, Flamengo, and São Paulo would be great additions, especially to the CONMEBOL Libertadores, which is already licensed in the game. Plus, one of Brazil’s biggest stars, Neymar, currently plays for Santos, so having him back in the game would be a dream.
J.League

EA Sports surprised fans by adding the J1 League, Japan’s top-flight league to FIFA 17. This was unexpected since the league was previously associated with KONAMI’s Pro Evolution Soccer for many years.
Unfortunately, FIFA 22 was the last time J1 League made an appearance, as the agremeent between EA Sports and J.League was ended. This led to its removal from the franchise in FIFA 23.
While the chances of its return are slim, it would be amazing to have the J1 League back. Right now, the only Asian leagues in the game are from South Korea and Australia, so bringing back Japan’s top league would add more variety to many Career Mode players.
Greek Super League
Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, and AEK Athens are among the biggest clubs in Greece. They regularly compete in European tournaments, which is why they have been included in the game. However, since EA Sports doesn’t have the license for the Greek Super League, these clubs are placed in the “Rest of the World” section.
The Greek League was featured in the early editions of the franchise, however it was removed from the game at some point and we haven’t seen it back in the last decades. With its rich history and passionate fanbase, the Greek Super League would be a great addition to EA Sports FC 26, bringing more authenticity and allowing players to experience the league’s intense rivalries.
Russian Premier League

The Russian League was a fan favorite in FIFA 13, especially among Ultimate Team players. Players like Emmanuel Emenike, Welliton, and Aiden McGeady became extremely popular due to their overpowered stats in the game.
Russian Premier League remained in the franchise for many years until FIFA 22, when EA Sports decided to remove it following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The decision to remove the league was in line with EA’s partner such as FIFA and UEFA who imposed sanctions on Russian football.
