Some of them could not make into the final XI. That does not mean they were any less spectacular!
Team of the Year campaign has successfully completed one week and it is only getting stronger. Even though there are some hiccups when it comes to pack weight, the in game content is at an all time high.
A few days ago, Ultimate Team players were given a choice to vote for the 12th player of Men’s and Women’s Team of the Year. In the Men’s side, to the surprise of absolutely nobody, Cristiano Ronaldo won the 12th player vote. From the Women’s side, Alexandra Popp emerged victorious as the 12th player in Women’s TOTY squad. Both of these players have earned heavily boosted TOTY player items that are sure to competently fill everyone’s striker position for rest of the game cycle.

EA FC 24 TOTY Honourable Mentions
While the 12 players each from the men’s and women’s TOTY squads are the primary focus of the TOTY promo, the rest of the footballing world should not go ignored. Some players played with their hearts out and delivered exceptional performances on the pitch but could not make the cut into TOTY squads. To celebrate these performances, EA has released the TOTY Honourable Mentions (TOTYHM) squad – a squad of 11 players with permanently upgraded stats and playstyles.
The TOTYHM squad is headlined by Bayern Munich’s goalscoring machine Harry Kane, who should feel unlucky to miss out on yet another TOTY selection. Lyon Women’s Kadidiatou Diani, who barely missed the inclusion to the inaugural Women’s TOTY squad and the Egyptian King, Mohammed Salah, are other notable entries in the squad.
Players like Trent Alexander Arnold, Federico Valverde and Olga Carmona, who were a part of the 12th player voting also made their mark in the TOTYHM squad. Interestingly, Estefanía Banini, who was in the 12th player vote in the Women’s TOTY was snubbed from the TOTYHM squad.

Some of the TOTYHM cards received major boosts, including 2 Playstyles+. TOTY 12th players and TOTYHM cards will be in packs till 3rd February 2024.
