The Showdown Series Returns to FC 24

EA Sports FC 24 Showdown Series is now live in Ultimate Team!

EA never stops when it comes to Ultimate Team. Gamers have been treated to amazing promos for the past few weeks, and things are about to get much better following the return of Showdown Series.

We saw the first Showdown Series in FIFA 23 and it lasted a week, which means gamers should expect a new promo next week. This marks the first time in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team that a new weekly promo squad will not be available in the game.

EA has also dropped a Campaign Re-release into packs, which means a good number of players from previous promos will be joining the TOTW 25 squad.

How Does the Showdown Series Work? 

The Showdown Series in FC 24 brings the heat of real world football matches to Ultimate Team. Each card has a counterpart, and player upgrade is tied to results in head-to-head game.

The player whose team wins in real football will earn a +2 In-Form boost in the game while the other player remains the same. If the game ends draw, both players receive a +1 In-Form upgrade.

Take for example the Showdown Series between Liverpool’s Bobby Clark and Manchester City’s Manuel Akanji. If Liverpool beat Manchester City on Sunday, Clark will get a +2 upgrade. But if Manchester City wins the match then Akanji will get the +2 upgrade. If the game ends draw then both players will get a +1 upgrade.

There will be a new pair of Showdown Player SBCs every single day.

Campaign Re-Release also Available in Ultimate Team

Also, EA has decided to bring back several campaigns from the past weeks, which offers an amazing opportunity for gamers who previously missed laying their hands on fantastic cards.

The Campaign Re-Release is expected to last for seven days and includes special cards such as Cristiano Ronaldo (91 OVR), Kylian Mbappé (93 OVR), Harry Kane (93 OVR), Erling Haaland (94 OVR), Manuel Locatelli (89 OVR) and Virgil van Dijk (90 OVR).

Furthermore, gamers can look forward for new Icon SBCs such as Centurions Icon Jairzinho and the NWSL Season Countdown Player Objective. Players that will login to their FUT clubs will also receive a free 85+ Rare Gold Player Pack.
