The final promo of 2023 is here! But where are the swaps, EA?
The first promo of the Season 3: Frostbite is LIVE in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team. The Winter Wildcards (WW) promo is finally here and there are some insane cards, SBCs and other content in store for us. EA has released 23 permanently upgraded player items in packs as part of Winter Wildcards Team 1 and has promised daily SBC player content throughout this promo.
For those who are not familiar, the Winter Wildcards promo is a winter-themed event in the Ultimate Team game mode. It has been introduced as a replacement for the popular FUTMAS promo in FIFA 22. Even though there was an initial backlash for replacing a fan favourite promo, Ultimate Team fans started loving the promo due to the introduction of Swap Tokens and Swap Rewards. However, in EA FC 24, there are no signs of a Swaps system to grind for so far.
FC 24 Winter Wildcards
The Winter Wildcards Team 1 is headlined by the Legendary Pele, who gets a massive 96 rated card. Other notable players in the promo squad are Alexia Putellas (FC Barcelona), Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool) and the great man Cristiano Ronaldo (Al Nassr).
Some of the lower rated cards like Marco Reus and Alex Balde also got significant boosts to keep them in touch with the power curve of the game. However, the one player that could fly under everyone’s radar is Rayan Cherki, who got a card that could be extremely fun to use with Trickster+ Playstyle and 5 star Weak Foot/Skill moves combo.

Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace) and Georginio Wijnaldum (Al Ettifaq) have 99 rating in Passing and Physicality respectively. It is also worth noting that some cards like Ruud Van Nistelrooy (Winter Wildcards Icon) and Marcos Llorente (Atlético Madrid) got a significant position change in this promo.
Winter Wildcards Team 1 squad will be in packs until Friday, December 29 when Team 1 will be replaced by Winter Wildcards Team 2. Moreover, the ‘Best Of’ Winter cards of the season from previous campaigns will feature in packs alongside WW items.

FC 24 Winter Wildcards Objectives
Furthermore, a few extra WW cards can be unlocked via Objectives in-game.
For example, to get the Winter Wildcards Jonathan Bamba in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, players must complete four distinct tasks. These tasks require dedicated gameplay in Squad Battles or Rivals modes to successfully complete each of the next objectives:
- French Flair: Score five goals using French players in Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) matches on min. Semi-Pro difficulty
- Right Through: Assist three goals with Through Balls in Squad Battles on min. Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals/Champions) using a LaLiga player
- Double Up: Score at least two or more goals per match in three separate matches in Squad Battles on min. Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals/Champions)
- LaLiga Wins: Win eight matches in Squad Battles on min. Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rivals) while having min. three LaLiga players in your Starting 11
