Spotify and EA SPORTS have joined forces to test a new in-game audio feature for FC 25. For now, it is only available in Australia and Saudi Arabia, and it is exclusive to Spotify Premium users on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
This feature allows players to stream music, podcasts, and audiobooks directly from Spotify while playing FC 25. Instead of the usual in-game commentary or stadium sounds, users can choose to listen to their own playlists or explore music recommendations built by Spotify’s editorial teams.
How It Works in EA SPORTS FC 25
Once logged in, Spotify appears as a new option in the main menu. From there, the player can launch Spotify during different parts of the game, like before a match or while pausing the game. A small music display will pop up on the screen when a new track starts.
Here’s what players can do with the integration:
- Log into Spotify Premium from a new menu tile in the FC 25 main menu
- Switch default game audio from commentary to Spotify
- Play and skip tracks from the pause menu
- See track names and artists displayed on-screen during gameplay
- Browse Spotify sections such as Home, Library, and a dedicated Soundtrack tab
Spotify and EA also worked together previously on the official EA SPORTS FC 25 soundtrack, so this new feature builds on that partnership.
Available Content and Limitations
Although players can access a large part of Spotify’s library, some tracks might not be available in-game. Users who want the full catalog still need to open the regular Spotify app outside of FC 25.
While the original announcement mentioned support for PlayStation and Xbox, EA’s support page also includes PC as an option, but only if players download the Spotify app directly from the official website. The version from the Microsoft Store does not work with this integration.
When Will It Expand?
There’s no official date yet for a global rollout however it is expected to be available in more regions with the release of EA FC 26. For now, the feature is being tested only in Australia and Saudi Arabia. Spotify and EA SPORTS are likely monitoring feedback before expanding to other regions.
