How To Complete POTM Mbappé SBC in FC 24

Brace yourselves – the most dreaded player SBC in every FIFA / EA FC cycle is here.

Since the introduction of Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) in FIFA 17, EA Sports has consistently released SBCs for players who have secured Player of the Month (POTM) accolades in top football leagues. Initially, this feature was exclusive to Premier League POTM winners, but over time, EA expanded it to include other leagues. Now, players from the top 5 European leagues and the Eredivisie receive monthly POTM SBCs.

Kylian Mbappé, PSG’s golden striker, has won the Ligue 1 Player of the Month award for the month of October – thanks to his 3 goals and an assist for the Parisians last month. To celebrate that performance, EA has released his POTM SBC in game featuring a 92-rated card which costs around 4M coins. We will take a detailed look at the upgrades, challenges, cost and cheapest solutions to complete one of the most elite SBCs we will ever see in EA FC 24.

How is POTM Mbappé different from his other cards?

What sets the POTM Mbappé apart is its unique ‘Rapid’ Playstyle+, diverging from his gold card and Team of the Week (TOTW) card which feature ‘Quickstep’ while his ‘Trailblazers’ card is equipped with the ‘Power Shot’ Playstyle+.

Comparatively, the POTM Mbappé card exhibits a comprehensive upgrade over his base card, with increases of +1 in Pace, Shooting, Dribbling, and Physicality. Notably, it surpasses the base card in Passing and Dribbling, both receiving a +2 boost. Despite sharing the same overall rating with his TOTW card, the POTM card contrasts with one point less in Physicality but compensates with an extra point in Passing, illustrating the nuanced differences between performance-based upgrades in the game.

How to Complete POTM Mbappé SBC

Simply put, Mbappé is – by far – the best gold card in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team. His base card commands an exceptional market value of around 2.1 million coins, significantly higher than any other gold card, which typically costs under 600K coins. Reflecting this high demand, Mbappé’s special cards are also priced steeply, averaging about 4.5 million coins.

Given this context, it’s understandable why EA Sports set a high completion cost for Kylian Mbappé’s SBC. The 92-rated POTM card is estimated to cost around 4.1 million coins. It comprises 20 challenging segments, each requiring strategic completion to unlock this highly coveted card.

The challenges, along with the cheapest available solution, are as follows:

  • Ligue 1 Uber Eats Players: Min. 1 in your Starting 11 and Subs
  • Team of the Week Players: Min. 1 in your Starting 11 and Subs

89-Rated Squad (x3) (Cost: ~ 340-350K Coins each)

The SBC segment prices may be slightly different from the price listed here due to the fluctuating nature of the Ultimate Team market.

In our opinion, if you have endurance, willpower and fodders to do this SBC, you should complete it. Mbappé is undoubtedly an elite tier card and will be more than useful until the end of the game cycle.
