In a recent social media post, EA shed light on the engagement metrics of EA SPORTS FC 24 in the initial 24 days post-global launch.
A week following the worldwide release of FC 24, EA disclosed that the first game in their new franchise has attracted over 11.3 million players, marking an increase of 1 million players compared to the previous edition. To back up these numbers, EA shared the in-game engagement metrics since the global launch on September 29.
According to EA, the platform has witnessed a total of 1.6 billion games being played, during which football enthusiasts have netted 4.1 billion goals across over 200 nations.
In the Ultimate Team game mode, nations such as France, England, Spain, Brazil, and Germany featured prominently in Ultimate Team Squads. The leagues leading in representation include the Premier League, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1 Uber Eats. While in Career Mode, players like Kylian Mbappé, Jesús Corona, Alphonso Davies, Jude Bellingham, and Alejandro Garnacho have been hot properties in the transfer market.
FC Barcelona tops the chart as the most chosen women’s football team in FC 24, followed closely by Chelsea, Arsenal, and Olympique Lyonnais. On the men’s side, teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, and Liverpool have been the popular picks.
The games featuring FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid, Manchester City vs. Real Madrid, and Bayern München vs. Real Madrid for men, along with Chelsea vs. FC Barcelona, FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid, and FC Barcelona vs. Olympique Lyonnais for women have been among the most favored matchups.
With the inclusion of women’s football in Ultimate Team, players have crafted their dream squads, integrating a staggering 739 million women’s player items into Ultimate Team starting XIs for online play.
The launch saw a high-scoring start to FC 24 with strikers like Darwin Núñez, Ansu Fati, and Erling Haaland for men, and Sam Kerr, Kadidiatou Diani, and Alex Morgan for women, making notable contributions. EA also mentioned that ‘knee slide’ is the most popular celebration, followed by ‘arms to the crowd’ and ‘back slide’.
