EA FC 24 Joins the List of Esports World Cup 2024 Games

EA Sports FC 24 has become the latest game to join the Esports World Cup lineup. The event, which will be taking place this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will see organizations compete across tittles for prize money. Other games which have been announced include Overwatch 2, PUBG and Dota.

EA Sports FC 24 has been a success since its release, with the FC Pro Open and FC Pro League events so far being a success. The latest announcement of FC 24 being at the Esports World Cup adds excitement to what has been a thrilling year that is expected to reach its climax in the summer when the first-ever FC Pro World Championship will be played.

While the Esports World Cup sits fully outside EA’s FC Pro ecosystem, gamers will be thrilled because it’s another amazing opportunity to showcase their ability on the virtual pitch and win huge prize money. It is reported that the event will have the largest prize pool in esports history.

Qualification to the Esports World Cup

The path to the inaugural Esports World Cup will begin at DreamHack events. EA has opened FC 24 competitions which will be hosted at DreamHack Summer in Sweden and DreamHack Dallas in the USA.

Both amateurs and pros will go head-to-head and then the best will progress to the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, where they will be joined by several top players in the world.

With FC 24 having officially joined the roster of games at Esports World Cup 2024, the number of games that will be at the event have now reached eleven. Below are the other games that have been confirmed so far:

The Esports World Cup is powered by Esports World Cup foundation, which is an independent non-profit organization aiming to eliminate ecosystem fragmentation and provide a centralized platform for the leading video games in the world. Sony has joined forces with the organization and signed a multi-year partnership agreement hence becoming a founding partner of the Esports World Cup.

Sony Pictures Entertainment will create a behind-the-scenes documentary series showcasing the players and all gamers at the event. The music anthem will be produced by Sony Music Entertainment.

The first-ever edition of the Esports World Cup, which was announced in October 2023, will take place within eight weeks this summer.
