After two days of intense competition in the city of San Sebastián, this season’s LaLiga FC Pro Cup winner has been crowned.
Sevilla’s Nicolas99FC was lethal throughout the competition and produced one of the most dominant performances we have ever seen in a final by crushing Real Valladolid’s Neat 8-1 to be crowned champion. The Argentine’s triumph led to Sevilla being awarded the lion’s share of the €100,000 in prize money, which is €25,000.
The LaLiga FC Pro Cup was played in a playoff bracket with only one game per round for two days. Here, we take a deep dive into how the event unfolded over the weekend.

The LaLiga FC Pro Cup Showdown
The LaLiga FC Pro Cup saw the 3 best-ranked teams from each group at the end of the Regular Season compete for a chance to lift the first national silverware of the season.
The first matches of the LaLiga FC Pro Cup were held on Saturday at the Kursaal in San Sebastián, with all 24 teams getting into action. Most of the teams failed to progress to the next phase, as only eight progressed to Sunday’s final.
Real Valladolid’s Neat started his campaign on Sunday by playing a very aggressive game, cruising to victory over Granada. In the second match of the day, Cadiz de Fernandes of Cadiz secured a narrow 3-2 win over Daniel Aguilar who had proven to be a tough opponent from Saturday.

Meanwhile, Oviedo and Sporting played a vibrant match which ended with Oviedo’s Nacho Abella winning to book his spot in the semifinals. Nicolas then started his campaign in the best way by going 2-0 up inside 20 minutes against Getafe’s Flippersito. He was dominant through out the match and secured a routine victory on his path to the finals.
In the first semifinal of the day, Neat put on a spirited fight against Cadiz de Fernandes in one of the best matches of the day to book his place in the final. Nicolas was also made to sweat for a spot in the big final despite taking an early 3-1 lead against Oviedo’s Nacho. He had to survive late pressure from Nacho who had reduced the deficit to 3-2 with 20 minutes left to play but eventually failed to find the equalizer.
The final was the most awaited match of the day and it saw Nicolas going head to head with Neat. Everyone expected the tie to be close, however ‘The Iceman’ ran riot and thumped his opponent 8-1 to win the LaLiga FC Pro Cup.
