EA is finally adding Live Start Points in FC 25 Career Mode, set to roll out in the coming days.
Already announced before the FC 25 release, this addition gives you the chance to start your Manager or Player Career from real-world scenarios during the 2024/2025 football season.
What Are Live Start Points?
Live Start Points let you begin your Career Mode journey based on real-life football standings, fixtures, and results. Instead of starting a season from scratch, you can jump into key moments, like a title race, a derby match, or even a team’s relegation battle.
Supported leagues include:
- The Premier League
- LALIGA EA SPORTS
- Serie A Enilive
- Bundesliga
- Ligue 1 McDonald’s
- EFL Championship
- Barclays Women’s Super League
- Liga F
- Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga
- Arkema Première Ligue
Even cup competitions, like the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League and Women’s Champions League or domestic tournaments, will match real-life progress.
How Does It Work?
When starting a new Career save, you’ll see a “Live Start Points” option. This lets you:
- Choose your league and club.
- Pick the gameweek you want to start from.
- Adjust squad injuries or suspensions to change how events unfold.
For instance, you could start managing a team mid-season and explore how things might have played out if key players had been injured—or not.
Manager and Player Career Options
In Manager Career, Live Start Points allow you to:
- Take over a team in a specific situation, like a tough cup run or league battle.
- Manage the squad with real-world standings and fixtures already in place.
In Player Career, the feature works the same way. You can:
- Join a club at a critical moment in their season.
- Choose to play as a real player, a created character, or even an Icon.
Both modes reflect the real-life state of football, giving you the freedom to shape what happens next.
