FC Pro Open 25 Grand Finals: Vejrgang Won After a Thrilling Match Against Obrun2002

The inaugural official tournament of the EA Sports FC 25 season concluded on Saturday (1/2). The FC Pro Open 25 grand final saw Anders “Vejrgang” Vejrgang faced off against Francesco “Obrun2002” Tagliafierro for a $100,000 grand prize.

Both players delivered the most thrilling match of the tournament. Despite being ranked 21st in the world, Obrun2002 put up one hell of a fight against fan-favorite Vejrgang who holds the number 3 spot.

The opening 10 minutes of the grand final saw both players on equal footing, with the score tied at 1-1. Vejrgang pulled ahead 3-2 by halftime, putting himself one step closer to the title.

Despite the tight first half, Vejrgang dominated after the break. The Danish star capitalized on his TOTY Icon Thierry Henry up front, who scored two goals and take a commanding 5-3 lead by the 70th minute.

Obrun2002 pulled one back, but it wasn’t enough to force extra time. The score remained 5-4 until the final whistle, crowning Vejrgang as the FC Pro Open 25 champion.

This victory not only awarded Vejrgang the prestigious FC Pro Open 25 trophy but also secured him a spot in the FC Pro 25 World Championship. Check out all the qualified players for the World Championship below:
