EA Sports has announced the upcoming Legends Return Update (TU #10) for FC 25, introducing new gameplay features, icons, player items, and visual improvements. Here’s everything you need to know about this latest update.
New Gameplay Additions
The highlight of the gameplay changes is the introduction of the Low Driven Shot PlayStyle and its enhanced version, PlayStyle+. This new shooting style allows players to execute precise, low-powered shots more effectively. Shots with this style will now be more accurate, faster, and easier to perform, particularly beneficial when aiming at the lower corners of the goal.
To balance gameplay further, EA Sports has slightly reduced the accuracy of fully powered Precision Lob Passes, aiming to prevent their overuse, especially from kick-offs. On the defensive side, clearance headers have become more accurate, making it easier to clear dangerous balls from your box.
Additionally, EA addressed a few gameplay issues:
- AI defenders will now correctly pressure opponents rather than overly focusing on offside lines.
- Goalkeeper animations have been corrected to handle near-post shots more realistically.
Ultimate Team Updates
Fans of Football Ultimate Team (FUT) have good news as the legendary Roma Trio comprised of Gervinho, Doumbia and Ibarbo returns in FC 25 through the FUT Birthday promo. Also joining FUT as an ICON is football legend Franz Beckenbauer, debuting on March 21 during the UEFA Dreamchasers campaign.
Another new addition is the Super Sub Player Items, which now get full Chemistry benefits when substituted into a match. This feature encourages strategic substitutions, allowing your team more flexibility during gameplay.
EA has also announced a new online mode called Targets, where players aim for marked corners of the goal, ideal for practicing the Low Driven Shot.
Clubs Mode Enhancements
Clubs mode players will see a new level cap increase by 20 levels, along with two new training facilities:
- Low Driven Drill improves Long Pass and Shot Power.
- Strength Drill boosts Strength and Stand Tackle.
These facilities offer new ways to enhance your club player’s performance. Additionally, the Double Coins Events will regularly provide extra rewards, helping players accumulate coins faster.
Career Mode Updates
Career Mode sees a UI upgrade making the central hub clearer, showing upcoming matches and standings at a glance. Players can now select ICONs like Franz Beckenbauer in Player Career, with updated visuals to menus and animations making the mode easier to navigate.
Furthermore, the invisible number glitch when negotiating the transfer fee for a player has been fixed!
New Teams and Visual Updates
Fans can now play with the Canadian Women’s National Team and revisit the legendary Classic XI squad in Kick-Off and Online Friendlies modes.
Visually, the main menu has received a nostalgic update featuring legendary football figures such as Pele, Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff, and Franz Beckenbauer. Also, EA has introduced SuperFans in stadium pre-match scenes for selected clubs like Dortmund, Liverpool, Boca Juniors, and Angel City FC.
Furthermore, the patch will introduce 69 starhead updates for various players. Two new celebrations and Gareth Bale’s freekick animation has also been included in this special update.
