EA Sports released Team 2 for the Dreamchasers campaign on Friday (28/3), completing the full Dreamchasers squad, which launched a week ago.
After a mostly positive response to FUT Birthday, the same can’t be said for the Dreamchasers campaign. Many FUT users expressed their frustrations over the player selection for the event.
The EA Sports FC community on Reddit was among the most vocal, not holding back in expressing their disappointment. Here are some reasons why the Dreamchasers campaign received backlash from the community!
Inclusion of players from teams that have already been eliminated from the competition
Standout stars from the current European season dreaming of lifting a trophy and the legendary figures that did it before them.

Based on EA Sports’ official statement, the Dreamchasers campaign is dedicated to highlighting players who have excelled in UEFA club competitions this season. However, the community interpreted the term “Dreamchasers” as a way to highlight players who are still chasing UEFA club competition glory.
As a result, many community members were confused about why players from Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, and Bayer Leverkusen were included in this promo. This sentiment was echoed by u/GoSports1234 on the EA Sports FC subreddit, who stated, “Strange to give players promo cards from teams already knocked out over teams still in the competition.”
The community prefers Road to the Finals over Dreamchasers
Road to the Finals (RTTF) has been one of the staple campaigns in the history of FUT. It was first introduced in FIFA 19 when EA Sports obtained the UEFA license for the first time after many years.
However, things are a bit different in EA Sports FC 25. The RTTF campaign hasn’t received a fully dedicated promo like in previous years but has instead been released exclusively through the Season Pass, Objectives, and SBCs. This situation led a Reddit user, u/nefariousbueller to state, “What a bummer replacing RTTF with these. More live cards make the game more interesting.”
Recycled promo cards in the Dreamchasers Team
One of the main criticisms of the campaign is how EA Sports reused players who had already received promo cards instead of introducing new ones. For example, Linda Caicedo from the Real Madrid Women’s Team was included in the Dreamchasers campaign after previously being part of the Future Stars campaign in February.
This led to frustration within the community, with many wondering why EA Sports keeps recycling the same players for their promos instead of featuring new ones. A Reddit user, u/KingTocco didn’t hold back in expressing his frustration by saying, “I hate this promo so much – look at all those re-used promo cards when they could have at least given us something different.”
Horrible packweight for the top cards
Elevating their games to new heights on European nights, with upgrades fitting of those moments.

Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah, Florian Wirtz, and Federico Valverde are among the players the community sought after the most. They are considered the top players in the promo and would easily be an upgrade to most teams.
However, the same issue as in previous campaigns emerged—many users complained that the pack weight for these cards was too low. With how quickly the power curve is evolving, many believe that none of the Dreamchasers cards will improve their squads unless they pack one of the top players mentioned earlier.
u/DracarysUT expressed their frustration over the pack weight and stating, “This will go down as one of the promos with the worst pack weight of all time.” Meanwhile, u/twillet added, “I don’t think I’ve even come up against any top players let alone packed them. Diabolical promo, so disappointing we have another week of it.”
