Season Finale Update Announced for EA FC 25

EA SPORTS FC 25 is wrapping up the season with a fresh update. Title Update #15, also known as the Season Finale Update, brings several tweaks to gameplay, Career Mode, and Ultimate Team. Let’s break down what’s new and how it could affect your matches.

Gameplay Adjustments: Passing, Goalkeepers, and Headers

After months of players struggling to score from crosses, EA has given headers a bit more punch. Headers are now slightly more accurate in contested and uncontested situations. That means you should see more goals from your crosses and corners.

Passing also got a tweak, but only for players who already have good passing stats. Ground passes should feel a bit sharper now, giving those skilled passers a chance to shine. Just keep in mind that driven ground passes are staying the same.

As for goalkeepers, those with the Rush Out PlayStyle have had their acceleration dialed back a bit. Regular Rush Out keepers will feel the slowdown more, while those with the Rush Out PlayStyle+ will see only a slight dip. EA’s goal here is to make one-on-one attacks a bit more balanced.

Ultimate Team: New Season and Premium Pass

Season 8 in Ultimate Team kicks off on June 5th, complete with a new Premium Pass. Evolution requirements for PlayStyle+ consumables have been updated for this season:

  • Standard Ladder: Max 95 OVR, Max 9 Playstyles, Max 3 PlayStyle+.
  • Premium Pass: Max 96 OVR, Max 9 Playstyles, Max 3 PlayStyle+.

Another important tweak: the maximum number of PlayStyle+ that a Player Item can have has increased to five. This won’t mean every player will have five, but it opens up more options for future cards.

Career Mode: Fresh Features and a New Look

Career Mode gets a few quality-of-life changes in this update. In Manager Career, players can now dive into 5v5 Youth Tournament matches in co-op mode. Up to four players can join in thanks to the new Side Select option, adding a fun way to play with friends.

Matchday coverage in Career Mode has also been updated. The Fixtures and Results UI is now cleaner, so you can follow your club’s results more easily. To round things off, the main menu has been refreshed with a festive celebration theme to mark the end of the season.

Live Start Points also received an update and players can now choose their next challenges in five new leagues:

  • Liga Portugal
  • Scottish Premiership
  • 2. Bundesliga
  • EFL League One
  • EFL League Two

Furthermore, In Player Career, you will see ICONs like Birgit Prinz, George Best, Johan Cruyff, and Garrincha.

The update will be available on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
