Manchester City’s esports division has recently announced the signing of EA FC Pro Player Donovan Hunt, popularly known in the gaming community as Tekkz, for the upcoming FC 24 season.
The young esports star commenced his professional journey with The F2 in 2018, quickly asserting his presence on the scene by winning the 2018 FUT Champions Cup. His stint with The F2 also saw him stepping in for KiNG Esports during the 2019 FIFA eClub World Cup, where his stellar performance led to a tournament victory.
Shortly after, Tekkz was snapped up by esports giants Fnatic, where he represented them for four remarkable years. His achievements continued to soar, marking a victorious debut in the ePremier League in 2019, and clinching the 2020 eChampions League Invitational title among his 11 tournament wins.
Internationally, Tekkz took pride in representing England from 2021, making a significant impact by topping the FIFAe Nations Cup 2021 EU Qualifiers.

In a statement, Tekkz conveyed his excitement, “I’m very excited to be joining the Man City Esports team and I’m looking forward to seeing what Mati and I can achieve this season in the ePremier League and hopefully further.” He further added, “I definitely want to win another ePremier League title and to do it with City would be a huge honour.”
His signing is viewed as a promising step towards achieving the club’s ambitious goals in the esports arena. Tekkz’s first challenge of this season will be in the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier next month as he will compete for the FC Pro Open Championship.
