EA Sports have officially revealed the first game of their new franchise, EA SPORTS FC 24.
Following the announcement trailer released a few days ago, we now have a glimpse into what we can expect from the new football simulator. From HyperMotionV to Women’s Football in Ultimate Team, let’s have a closer look at the highlights of this reveal.
With Manchester City’s superstar Erling Haaland as the cover star, FC 24 is packed with new features and multiple changes across all game modes. Here’s a quick rundown on what was revealed.
Gameplay Features
- HyperMotionV represents the most significant advancement in capturing the essence of real-world football. By using volumetric data from over 180 professional matches, both men’s and women’s, EA has been able to mirror real-life football movements in-game more accurately than ever before.
- PlayStyles takes player representation to the next level. Instead of just focusing on overall ratings, PlayStyles highlight the unique skills and attributes that set players apart on the field. This feature ensures that each player’s distinctive style is both visible and tangible in-game.
- The enhanced Frostbite Engine showcases football with unparalleled realism. Players are depicted with greater detail, showcasing individual characteristics and smoother animations. Additionally, the kits have been enhanced to mimic real-world fabric behavior, adjusting to player movements and providing a more immersive experience.
Ultimate Team
- Evolutions – Develop your very own club legends by improving your players with the brand new Ultimate Team Evolutions. By accomplishing specific objectives, you can enhance your players’ skills, PlayStyles, overall ratings, and even customize their Player Items’ appearance.
- Women’s Football – Ultimate Team bridges the gap in The World’s Game, integrating both men’s and women’s football. Now, they can compete on the same field, offering a broader spectrum of options to craft your ideal XI.
Player & Manager Career
- Player Career – Forge your ideal career trajectory with the assistance of the newly introduced Player Agent. Enhance your on-field persona through a revamped Personality system, centered around the innovative PlayStyles.
- Manager Career – Steer your club towards triumph with enhanced tactical control. With the support of specialized coaches and new training functionalities, maximize your team’s potential ahead of matchday.
Clubs and VOLTA FOOTBALL
The biggest update for Clubs and VOLTA is the introduction of cross-play on both modes this year. Also, with the debut of a Clubs Season format that peaks in Playoffs, the integration of PlayStyles for genuine player growth, and unparalleled customization options, fans of both modes will get the best gaming experience in years.
Founder Status
With the official announcement, EA SPORTS also revealed the Founders Status to honor early supporters of the EA SPORTS FC franchise. Those who will play FC 24 by 1 November 2023 will receive the FC Founder title. This status comes with perks such as a unique founder badge and an exclusive kit, symbolizing their pioneering spirit for years ahead. Moreover, FC Founders will enjoy exclusive benefits throughout their journey in EA SPORTS FC 24 and in future editions.
EA SPORTS FC 24 is set for release on September 29th and will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. EA Play members and Ultimate Edition owners will be able to play the Early Access on September 29th.
