As Euro 2024 approaches, excitement builds not just in stadiums, but also in the virtual world. A recent leak hints that EA Sports is set to mark the occasion by releasing a new downloadable content (DLC) and promo in FC 24.
International tournaments such as World Cup and European Championship have always been fan favorites in previous FIFA editions, allowing fans to lead their national teams to ultimate glory. As EA’s collaboration with FIFA ended earlier this year, it’s uncertain whether the World Cup will feature in the new EA Sports FC franchise. However, the ongoing partnership with UEFA will most likely see the next Euro included in ‘the world’s game’.
Euro 2024 Promo in FC 24 Ultimate Team
To back up this prediction, a recent ad featured accidentally on the streaming platform Twitch indicates that EA will include the European tournament in their latest FC release.
Popular Dutch content creator Kazooie94 managed to share a screenshot of a video ad promoting an upcoming Euro 2024 campaign in FC 24 Ultimate Team:

The promotional video claims that gamers who play FC 24 by January 16th, 2024, will be eligible to get one of the next six UEFA Euro 2024 player items in-game:
- Federico Chiesa (Italy)
- Ousmane Dembélé (France)
- Jack Grealish (England)
- Alvaro Morata (Spain)
- Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands)
- Florian Wirtz (Germany)
The player ratings have not been revealed, but they are expected to receive a minor upgrade compared to their base cards, very much like the FIFA 22 Next Generation campaign.
EA Sports recently employed a similar engagement strategy by giving away an 87-rated Erling Haaland item to players active in the game before November 1st.
Euro 2024 DLC in sight for FC 24?
Looking back at previous editions, EA has never released an international tournament campaign in Ultimate Team without a full DLC release to support it. Following the pattern of the 2022 World Cup DLC, fans can anticipate an authentic representation of Euro 2024 in FC 24. To what extent? For that, we would have to wait for the official content reveal from EA.
Another indication that the competition will feature in FC 24 is the presence of the Euro trophy model in the game assets.
The last time EA Sports included a Euro DLC in their football series was for FIFA 12 when the competition was played in Poland and Ukraine. Subsequently, EA lost the rights for the 2016 and 2020 Euro editions, as they were featured on Konami’s PES series.
