FUT Birthday is set to be the next campaign following Fantasy FC which expired on Friday (7/3). To celebrate the 16th anniversary of Ultimate Team, EA Sports have teased some of the content they have in store.
One of the hottest rumors in the FC community over the past couple of weeks has been the return of FUT 15’s deadly trio: Gervinho, Victor Ibarbo, and Seydou Doumbia.
The rumor finally came true when EA Sports confirmed their return in a social media post published on Thursday (6/3). The video featured Toheeb Jimoh baking a birthday cake, with the former AS Roma trio revealed at the end.
Although no further information is available at the moment, EA Sports have confirmed that Gervinho, Ibarbo, and Doumbia will be featured in Objectives and Evolution, while their FUT Birthday Hero player items will be obtainable through packs.
Gervinho, Victor Ibarbo, and Seydou Doumbia once dominated FUT 15 with their blistering speed and OP stats. All three played for AS Roma at the time, making their chemistry even stronger and easy to link with other players.

Gervinho’s last FIFA/FC appearance happened in FIFA 22, before retiring at the end of 2022/23 season with Aris in the Greek Super League.
Victor Ibarbo was very popular during his time at Cagliari and AS Roma, with his last appearance was in FIFA 19. He’s still currently active playing profesionally for Inter Palmira in the second division of Colombian football league.
Seydou Doumbia have been a fan-favorite since the early days of FUT, with his OP player items when he played for CSKA Moscow. His last FIFA appearance was in FIFA 20 before retiring at the end of 2020/21 season.
