EA Sports has just revealed an exciting roster of 13 new Heroes set to debut in the upcoming FC 25 Ultimate Team, a key feature of the game that many fans eagerly anticipate each year. This year’s theme is “Hero Origins,” where these new Heroes will start with an Origin Hero item that can evolve into a Prime Hero item, reflecting their career growth.
One of the standout names in this new Heroes lineup is Eden Hazard. Known for his time at Chelsea and Real Madrid, Hazard’s Hero card is sure to bring a lot of attention. Joining Hazard is Maicon, the legendary Brazilian right-back who made his mark playing for clubs like Inter Milan and AS Roma.
Other notable names include Jaap Stam, the Dutch defender known for his time with Manchester United, and Tim Howard, the American goalkeeper who made waves in the Premier League. Women’s football will also be represented by new women heroes such as Celia Sasic and Laura Georges.

- Celia Sasic: 88 OVR > 91 OVR
- Eden Hazard: 86 OVR > 90 OVR
- Maicon: 86 OVR > 90 OVR
- Ze Roberto: 86 OVR > 89 OVR
- Jaap Stam: 85 OVR > 89 OVR
- Tim Howard: 85 OVR > 89 OVR
- Marek Hamsik: 85 OVR > 89 OVR
- Laura Georges: 85 OVR > 89 OVR
- Jamie Carragher: 86 OVR > 88 OVR
- Guti: 86 OVR > 88 OVR
- Fara Williams: 86 OVR > 88 OVR
- Blaise Matuidi: 85 OVR > 88 OVR
- Mohamed Noor: 85 OVR > 88 OVR
The announcement also included the former Manchester City star, Yaya Touré who was advertised as a “Returning Hero” since he is already available in FC 24 and a fan favourite due to his meta status in game. The difference between his current and future card is that in the next edition, his base or origin card will have a -2 to his overall rating.
The Hero Origins theme allows these Heroes to upgrade in-game, mirroring their career progressions. The Heroes’ dynamic images will also change as they upgrade.
Players who pre-order the FC 25 Ultimate Edition by August 20, 2024, will receive one of these Origin Hero items at launch, which will automatically upgrade to a Prime Hero item on November 28, 2024.
EA Sports FC 25 launches globally on September 27th, 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
