After the conclusion of the Future Stars campaign, EA has revealed their newest Ultimate Team promo in FC 24 named Fantasy FC.
This new promo upgrades players’ in-game ratings based on their real-world performance, such as scoring goals or keeping clean sheets. The more consistently a player and their team perform, the better their upgrades in Ultimate Team. This year, the promo also introduces “Fantasy Heroes” who get upgrades based on their former clubs’ performances in their current league matches, enhancing the connection between real football and the game.
The first squad is already live and gamers can expect more in-game content in the following weeks including dedicated Objectives, Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) and promo packs.
How do the upgrades work?
In the Fantasy FC event, players can earn upgrades based on their and their team’s real-life performances. Here’s a simplified breakdown of the upgrade mechanics:
- Club Wins | +1 Upgrade (Including Heroes): Achieve two wins with their team in the next four domestic league matches.
- Player Appearances | +1 Upgrade: Participate in three out of the next four domestic league matches.
- Individual Performance | +1 Upgrade: For Attackers and Midfielders, score a goal or assist; for Defenders and Goalkeepers, secure a clean sheet in any of the next four matches.
- Club Goals | +1 Upgrade (Including Heroes): The player’s club hits 11 or more goals across the next four league matches.
To earn upgrades for Club Wins and Club Goals, players don’t need to play in those games. But, to get the Player Appearances Upgrade, they must play in the game. For the Clean Sheet Upgrade (only for DEF/GK), they need to play at least 60 minutes.
